Someone's Watching Me

ok, girl, here is a sneak preview of my inside cover.  I finally decided on the watercolor Moley....it doesn't have as many spreads as the square one, and I figured that was a better way to start! ;)  I don't know what's going on with my camera/ computer....the background in real life is way more purple.  Anywho, I have a couple more things to work on so i'll get this popped in the mail on Saturday....I can't wait to get yours.... I think I may already have an idea! ;)

Hi there!

I just wanted to jump in and say hello! I'm looking forward to this swap and can't wait to see what everyone comes up with. I've got a couple ideas for themes but still haven't decided for sure. Does everyone have a theme picked out?
My blog is called Black Cat Designs in case you want to see who I am.

Welcome Gina!

ok, gang! Gina Ressner will be my co-host for this exchange...she's got lots of mail art experience, so between the two of us, we should be able to figure this out!  ;) I'll let her introduce herself...

Please get me your email addy's and your mailing addy's so we can get you added on here, otherwise you won't be able to post other than in the comments section.

Also..I'm pretty sure I picked my theme....Dreams and Nightmares....have y'all picked your themes yet? i can't wait to hear them...

Getting started.....

Plan to get your journals sometime this week so you can start working on them.  I'd like to have our 1st mail out date to be September 21st....that gives everyone 3 weeks to get a journal, pick a theme, and do a few spreads* before we start mailing them...

One thing you may want to create on the very 1st page of your journal is a sign in page, for everyone to sign in order that they do their art, so you know whose art is whose 50 years from now! ;)  there are some great sign in pages as part of those moley exchanges...i don't know if anyone noticed them.. there a great one for a fairy tale themed book that the gal had drawn the princess and the pea, and everyone signed on a mattress....now of course i can't find it. ah, well...i'll find another one to give you an example...

i hope that link works.

* a spread, for anyone not familiar with the term, is the back of the left page and the front of the right page used for one work of art....so, if your book is laying open and flat, your drawing would cover the whole thing, not just the right side... does that make sense?

i need all your mailing addresses......put them in my inbox on FaceBook! ; )

have a great day! good luck picking a theme...i know i already have waayyyy too many floating around in my head! it's gonna be hard to chose! so, hopefully we can do a few more exchanges!

One more thing....

Start thinking of a theme for your journal! it doesn't have to be specific...it could even just be that people use a specific color for their art in your journal.....but the theme will be what inspires each of us for your journals, so think about what you would like to see illustrated! ;)
